Tailor-lengths from Marling and Evans:

MARLING & EVANS
___________________________________________________________
Finest West of England Woollen Cloth

Marling & Evans now occupies buildings on the same site as Cotswold Woollen Weavers, and is part of the same family of companies. Marling & Evans specialises in manufacturing the best traditional West of England Saxony and cavalry twill cloths - and after several hundred years in this business, the company knows a thing or two about good cloth making!

The company logo depicts the identification mark which was stamped onto every bale of cloth before they left the mill. This mark is still used today. The date of 1782 is the date of the opening of the "new" mill. Weaving actually started on the original site in 1570!

A bunch of stock patterns representative of the huge archive at the mill is available to tailors and others who appreciate fine cloth. These cloths can be bought in any length from one metre upwards.
