The Croglin Nightmare

Surprisingly it was 2003 before anyone approached me with a fiction story about Vampirella to publish on my site.  The e-mail from Glynn Barrass arrived in June containing a story that I read with increasing interest.  Glynn had, to my mind, captured the essence and feel behind the Archie Goodwin/Jose Gonzales Vampirella (high praise indeed from me).  In short I liked it.

But I felt the story needed some illustrations before I could post it to my site, so Glynn tried to find an artist.  His first efforts failed, then the incomparable Leon Atkinson (whose work can be found elsewhere on this site) stepped in, providing some atmospheric dark images to complement the stories.

So - enjoy.
