Vampirella statue

For a long time I never gave a Vampirella statue the time of day.  Statues were things other people collected for reasons I couldn't understand, nor did I really want to.  They were expensive, bulky, often even ugly.  They could never match my ideal character drawn in a comic or in my own mind.

Then I saw the Susumu Sugita statue from Moore Creations Inc.  It was fabulous.  I ordered one, waited an age (living in the UK plays havoc with surface shipping) and then she arrived.

The statue was quite breathtaking.  This was Vampirella as she was meant to be - provocative, beautiful, sexy, enigmatic, mysterious.  This was the Vampirella I loved and knew from years ago, yet she was also the modern Vampirella of today.

I was converted.  Statues were now okay.

These pages contain what information I could collect about the statues and toys that have been created to celebrate Vampirella. Most are the official Harris ones, a few (like the one on the left) are unofficial.

Then, out of the blue, a guy named Ken Holland (who goes by the name of Jack Reptile) e-mailed me to tell me about his special collection.  Jack is an interesting guy so I have devoted a page to him.  It's worth a visit.  Click here or at the top of the page.

Finally, if you are interested in statues then the site to visit is here

But none of them can beat Vampi - as splendid in three dimensions as she is in two.
