Vampirella #21 Dangerous Games #1 One of my all-time favourite covers is the Linsner cover for this issue. It was originally intended as the limited cover for Vampirella Monthly #4: Holy War #1 and first appeared in the Harris Horrornet 26 February 1998. However it never made it to that issue, but was held back to appear in Dangerous Games #1. There were 9 versions of this cover, another record for one issue. To my mind the holochrome cover is one of the most beautiful covers I have ever seen on a comic. It's a joy to own. |

Vampirella #22 Dangerous Games #2 The first Dorian Cleavenger cover - not to my taste as I cannot see Vampi lounging on her throne in the way she is shown on the alternate cover. Not to worry, it's a nice cover even if I personally don't like it. Julie Strain continues to decorate the regular photo covers. |

Vampirella #23 The Revenge Although a crossover this comic plays part of the Monthly series, and is particularly relevant to the continuity as the story follows on from both the Vampi story and the Pantha story of the previous issue. The platinum foil issue is the first on-line issue, so called because you could only order it on-line from the Harris web site. There were eight variant covers, the most interesting being the 'virgin' edition (sometimes called the 'Texeira' edition) which was only available direct from Harris. |
