Creation - Virtual Art Gallery

Presenting artworks from the collection of Wolverhampton Arts and Museums Service, this CREATION site includes resources and activities
for all ages.

The CREATION Project is:

· A 3 year rolling programme of Digital Artists residencies in schools to encourage pupils to
make their own digital art. 1999 - 2001.

· A Digital Arts Centre has been funded by the DfES to help train teachers in the techniques and imaginative use of digital art. The centre offer a range of training sessions in the Digital Arts for teachers and runs workshops for all key stages / special needs and community groups. The workshops include digital animation and digital manipulation, web and C.D. ROM creation etc.

· The Creation Project also researched the use of Art and ICT for pupils with special educational needs. Digital artists worked with various special needs schools with digital art and animation. The results were documented in the form of a publication.

· A 'Young at Art' computer and craft activity area for the under fives. Opening at Bilston Craft Gallery 2001.

· A CD-ROM of forty artworks from Wolverhampton Art Gallery's collection, with information that starts simply and goes deeper. The CD-ROM is available from Wolverhampton Art Gallery.
