- Joseph Whitworth - "Lives Which Hung by a Thread"
Someone who both owns and is well informed about the Whitworth Sharpshooter has supplied information and a photograph of the rifle to replace the picture originally provided. Whilst he does not wish to be named, the contribution both adds enormously to the magazine article and corrects some of it. The webmistress is extremely grateful for this help.
