Switchback, Rise & Fall

Switchback,
Adrenalin Rush

This pretty Art Noveau design was wrongly labelled. It may say "St. John's Church, Matlock, from the Derwent, Derbyshire" but the publisher didn't do his homework! The view is actually of Holy Trinity Church in Matlock Bath and the church spire soars over the Switchback Railway in the Derwent Gardens. Boats could be hired from the landing stage on the river's edge.
