Do you have a broken link to one of my web pages? Don't worry. Nothing has been removed. It became apparent that the side navigation on individual pages in the "Images" section of this website was becoming rather cumbersome as more pages have been added than were ever envisaged. A re-think was needed, which has involved re-naming quite a few of the webpages as well as redesigning the side navigation. This was done late Feb / early March 2008. Apologies to anyone who has a link to pages that have had to be renamed. Just click on the coloured link back to "Images" and look back through the various sub-directories.

In an effort to reduce spam (unsolicited email) I have decided to reduce the number of e-mail links on the website so this is the only place it appears and the email address is provided using a small piece of Java code. If you cannot see it, either the web browser you are using does not support Java, or you have disabled Java in your browser. I apologise for this. I'm using the code to deter email harvesting robots.

Whilst I welcome any comments you may wish to make or additional information you may have I'd really appreciate you take note of the following before writing:

  • No demands for money or advertisements of any kind, though I am prepared to mention book titles or similar about Matlock and Matlock Bath onsite (see the note above about spam).
  • If your query is about specific onsite information please don't copy a whole page or section of one of my pages into the message. Just refer to the URL and the section or sentence. I maintain a large web site and I may not always know what you mean without the inclusion of at least the page details.
  • Messages received without a subject will be deleted unread; you'll find the subject line for your first message has partly been entered for you. Just add your surname / subject interest into the square brackets [Insert your interest, e.g. Matlock]. I will only read messages from first timers with the required subject line.
And for future correspondence:
  • Please do not send any attachments without asking if I want them.
The emails addresses of some contributors to the Matlock website are not on site. Whilst some may not wish to be contacted, I am able to contact others on your behalf.
So if you'd like to contact someone whose email address isn't given but they are contactable, please email me.

Very occasionally I receive a query and cannot reply for one reason or another. Sometimes it is because the email "Reply To" has perhaps been set up incorrectly on the sender's computer. I have now introduced a page which asks for those enquirers to get back in touch.

Once you've sent a message from here, or have now decided you do not wish to, please use 'Back' on the toolbar to return to the point of the website that you arrived from.

Thank you.
