In many regions of France, stag, roe deer, hares, rabbits and wild boar are all hunted with hounds.

In France, the hunting lobby has significant political presence, both in the European and regional parliaments in the form of the party Chasse, Peche, Nature, Traditions (Hunting, Fishing, Nature, Traditions).

In America, the quarry includes; Red (English) Foxes, Grey Foxes, Coyote, Racoons, Bobcats etc.
