Closing down the Tight Skirts Page

This will be the last update of pictures on the page. I no longer have time for it, now that I have a job, and unfortunately it is a victim of its own success: making up an update with more than fifty pictures in it, all in at least two categories and sometimes four or five, is very hard work! There was also the soul-destroying task of working out which pictures to remove so that I could make space for the new update. There were no pictures I felt "deserved" to be taken down: I wouldn't have posted them in the first place unless I felt they fitted. Unfortunately the popularity of the page is such that when I tried to go to a paid server which would have had plenty of space, it turned out that its 10GB bandwidth allocation went in three days, and 100GB servers are beyond my means for a hobby project. I had, instead, to keep within the 100MB of space available from my ISP, which seems to be bandwidth-unlimited but required me to keep removing pictures so that new ones could be posted. As a result of all this I've come to see it as a chore rather than a pleasure, lovely though the pictures are people have donated to me, and when I realised I was putting it off I knew that the time had come to stop work. I have been at it for more than eight years, which is a very long time on the Internet.

I don't intend to take the page down in the foreseeable future: people may as well continue to look at the pictures and use the resources (the links and films page, etc.) that it contains. If you are a model and ever want me to remove your pictures, please tell me and I'll do it as soon as I can. I don't want your generosity ever to be an embarrassment to you. I contacted all the models whose email addresses I could track down before putting up this message, but due to computer problems I don't have full access to my archives of email, and some were no longer traceable. If you are one of those, please accept my apologies: I did try.

I have thought of a few questions I think people will feel bound to ask, so I have answered them in advance below:

• “You can't do this! Are you sure?”
  Sorry, but yes.
• “Will you still forward fan messages to the models?”
  As long as they are still interested in them.
• “Do you know of any other pages like this?”
  There is no page quite like this one with the same theme; that, I think, is why so many lovely ladies kindly volunteered to let me post their images, because I had no competitors. Several models have already asked if I can recommend them a similar page where they can post their pictures. I don't have any ideas on the subject, but if you do, please share them.
• “What if I get a new job or something and don't want my pictures shown any more?”
  The absolute right of models to ask for their pictures to be removed from the web site on request is one of my main principles. I'm not going to change my mind about it. If you want your pictures removed, tell me.
• “If you don't want to post all these pictures, I will. Can I do that?”
  This is up to the individual models. Write to them, if they give their email addresses, or I will forward a message if the model is one who wants to keep her details private.
• “I can't live without my dose of tight skirt pictures! Where can I find more?”
  The Links page is a good start. Also, if you send me a blank DVD/R (+ or -, it makes no difference), I will burn my collection of approximately 35,000 tight skirt pictures (not including those currently on the page) plus a couple of hundred video clips onto it. Click here to write to me about it. Note that though I've got no objection to sending discs anywhere in the world, or to PO boxes, I will not send to names like "The Occupier" or "Killmrhat": if you are too worried to tell me your real name, don't write in. Note also that if you are one of the group promised the Special Extended Edition DVD Set (two discs), you'll get that whether you write in for this or not. Eventually. ;-)

Finally, if there are still any of those losers out there who think that by sending me abusive emails they can make me do as they tell me, let me assure them in advance that swearing at or insulting me actually makes me want to do the opposite of what you want just to prove I can't be intimidated. Please think about that before you write.
