Nippon Sanso has developed source gases into commercial products as well as MOCVD equipment. First step was to commercialize an MOCVD grade arsine with reduced water content. This was followed by the commercialization of phosphine for DVD lasers, arsine for electronic devices, and ammonia for GaN-based LEDs. It also employs expertise built up by becoming involved in the fields of exhaust reduction equipment, gas purification, and gas monitors, i.e a wide-ranging set of solutions related to compound semiconductor manufacturing.

Nitronex is pioneering two exponential advances in GaN: it has developed proprietary and patented processes for growing the highest-quality GaN crystals ever (PENDEO-TM) and depositing them on silicon (SIGANTIC-TM) - the most common and inexpensive substrate available. The result is one of the highest performing/lowest cost power semiconductors to-date for the wireless base station power amplifier market. Nitronex holds multiple patents for these processes it also licenses its intellectual capital to high-volume manufacturers of optoelectronics devices, including high-brightness blue and white LEDs and laser diodes.
