The IBC allows users (academics and research students) from
the UK academic community to undertake research using ion
implantation and/or ion beam analysis (IBA) plus associated
processing. Related topics for research include: Light from
Si, Er implanted LEDs, SiC devices for high temperature/high
power applications - novel implanted Schottky diode now in
production (Newcastle), III-V devices for both opto and microwave
applications, etc.
