In October, 2002, EMCORE sold an E300 GaNzilla production tool to HTC. A leader in the sale of blue and green spectrum HB-LED materials for advanced lighting applications, Highlink will utilize the reactor to support the manufacturing and development of GaN-based LEDs. Located in the Hsinchu science-based Industrial Park, Highlink's state-of-the-art research and production facility currently houses several EMCORE MOCVD tools, and the GaNzilla will be incorporated to further boost LED production. HTC aims to provide world class solid state lighting solutions that include higher brightness, longer-lasting blue, cyan, and green LEDs.
