Why Moonreapers?

Legend has given the people of Wiltshire the name of Moonrakers so Moonreapers is just a variation of this.
Smugglers in the county were being hunted by the Excisemen so they hid
their precious brandy bottles in a dew pond. The suspicions of the
Excisemen were aroused one dark night when they came across the villagers
raking the pond by moonlight. When they were asked what they were doing,
the Smugglers replied that they were trying to get the cream cheese out of
the pond. The Excisemen went on their way laughing at the village
yokels but who had the last laugh?
