Austace Chronicle report London 1791
NB: A London Chronicle report in 1791 was about a person named Austace
who was being deported to Australia. Also a hand written letter
published on an Australian government website gives the same persons
name as Yostis.
The following are probably corruptions:
Stace, Stacey, Stacy and Stacye (the Yorkshire family of the last name claimed descent from Eustace, Count of Boulogne.
There are entries in London registers of Eustach and Eustache which may be French Huguenots. The French surname Eustache may descend from the Irish refugees who fled to France during the 16th and 17th centuries.
