I am researching my g/g/g grandfather. His name was Alexander Mills, born approx 1785 somewhere in Ireland. The information I have though indicated that he married a Mary Eustace approx 1818 in Ireland. I'm sorry I don't have much more info than that. They then moved to St Peter Port, Guernsey, Channel Islands.

May I suggest to Eustice etc. connections that if they have an Australian component to their families that they access the First Families 2001 web site. It is quite busy but you can still register and submit the relevant details for all your Australian families. The site at >www.firstfamilies2001.net.au/< is operated from the Genealogy Centre of the State Library of Victoria,Australia.

Searching for parents of John P. (Jackie) Eustice, my gggrandfather. DOB May 17, 1829 DOD July 4, 1900. Jackie was born in England. Information has it that he was a professional boxer. He married and had a child, Ivy Ann Eustice b. Dec 25, 1846. His wife died and he married her sister. By 1849 he left from Liverpool (One ship, the Jamestown in 1849, lists a John Eustice, age 20 as a passenger) and came to USA. His wife and child followed him, but the wife died aboard ship and was buried at sea. The child was later reunited with her father. He then married a third wife in Ducktown, TN. They later divorced (supposedly due to jealousy over the daughter) and he married Lucinda Ricketts, my gggrandmother. They lived in Polk County and Hamilton County, Tennessee. My line is Dolores Gilbreath, daughter of John Grover Gilbreath, Jr., son of Ethel Winifred Eustice, daughter of Matthew Eustice, son of John P. (Jackie) Eustice. Anyone with connections, please contact me. Looking for parents of John P.
I am starting out on research of my family origins in Kildare, and have a very blank sheet of paper!! Grandparents not known, but thought to be from the Athy, Kildare area. Father, John (Jack) Eustace b. Jan 31st 1907, again thought poss Athy, Kildare. Three paternal uncles, Peter, Patrick, James, (all deceased). Can you give me any tips on where I might start, or who may have already researched this branch of the family.
I myself came to England in 1973, now living in West Sussex.
