FEATHER-HEADED A FUNDRAISE FOR THE FOUNDATION

Birds of a feather will flock together when The Leonard Cheshire Foundation's 1996 Flora London Marathon team take to the streets on Sunday, 21 April.

One hundred and fifty feather headed fundraisers from all over the UK, will run the Marathon to raise much needed money for the Leonard Cheshire Foundation.

The charity, the UK's largest provider of care and services for people with disabilities, has guaranteed getting its plucky runners noticed - each runner will sport a red

headband adorned with a one foot long red feather.

The red feather, the mark of the Foundation worldwide, derives from a feather emblem first used by a Singapore Cheshire Home in the 1960's. Red symbolises security and happiness; while feathers fly far and wide, sigrnf~ing the global spread of the Leonard Cheshire Foundation.
