This award honors the achievements of visually impaired women. Prize money of £1000, £500 and £250 is available. This year's Award is open to any visually impaired woman over 18 years of age, who is able to demonstrate that she has achieved success in the sighted world in the last three years. Nominations should be made in writing to the Women of the Year Lunch before 20th June 1997.
The Frink Award Chairman is Dr Louise Culham PhD MCoptom, Head of Optometry at Moorfields Eye Hospital, which is an internationally recognized center of excellence for clinical and research activities into eye conditions.
All the finalists will be invited to an event on 17th September at Moorfields Eye Hospital where the winners will be announced. Each of the finalists will receive their cheques from The Honorable Mrs Carole Lawson of the Jeffrey and Carole Lawson Foundation.
