BRISTOL PORCELAIN
The Museum's collection of Bristol Porcelain is the gift of Hubert Cornish Fox, a descendant of the Frenchay Tucketts, who died in February 2000.
Some of the pieces have been in the Tuckett family since the 1770s. The makers were William Cookworthy and Richard Champion, both related to Philip Debell Tuckett of Frenchay. Champion's mother was a member of the Rogers family of Frenchay, and his wife was Judith Lloyd of Moorend Farm, Hambrook.
The display will be changed from time to time, as there is not enough space to show all of the items. Some of the porcelain in our collection will be on loan to the Bristol Museum from April 2001.
