and tested scripts by Player-Playwrights members, news about the
catalogue and a 'Play Of the Month' selection, listed under

Copyright
All the plays and sketches in this catalogue are covered by
copyright. This means that any public performance requires the
prior consent of the copyright owner, in this case
Player-Playwrights acting on behalf of the author. Permission
will only be granted on payment of the appropriate performance
fee. Please bear in mind that authors receive no payment whatever
for their work except from the fees you subscribe for performing
it.
Plays
Prices of play scripts and performance fees are shown above each
summary. A4 single sided reading scripts may be ordered at a
discount of 20%, if preferred to A5 booklets, when paid
together with at least one day's performance fee.
The performance fees quoted are 'per performance'. Two or more
consecutive performances of the same play will be granted at a
discount of 20% per performance.
Fees for performances before an expected audience of 400 or more
are by special negotiation.
Sketches
For convenience, sketches have been grouped into booklets (A5)
containing 3, 4 or 5 sketches with similar themes. The price
for each booklet of sketches is £1.75.
A4 single-sided reading scripts are available for each sketch
separately (at a bulk price of 25p, 35p or 50p per copy depending
on length, when accompanied by an application for at least one
performance)
The Performance Fee for a single sketch is £4.00 for each
performance. Performance Fees for two or more sketches are
based on £1.00 per two minutes of performance time (as indicated
beside each title)

Before we can send you the plays or sketches we need your cheque
and a written order, with the necessary information set out in
our Order Form.
Types of Play
The plays are listed in the Catalogue according to length (Short, Medium,
Full Length) and the number of parts
(two upwards). They are not grouped according to the age or
gender of the characters, or the type of play. About half of the
plays have particular features which are noted below.
