NT4 or 2000 do the rest. Now you´re ready to go. Plug the Nokia Cellular
Data Suite cable into your PC´s serial port to connect your Nokia
5110, 6110, 6150, nk402 or nk702 cellular phones to your laptop PC. You
can use the Nokia Cellular Data Suite to send and receive faxes, files
and e-mail. And you can access the Internet and your office information
system when you are out of the office.
Messaging and memory management: Use the Nokia Cellular Data Suite to write SMS messages on your notebook PC. Then send them to a GSM phone. Fast and easy. You can manage your phone´s memory on your PC. Add, delete and copy names and phone numbers in the Nokia Cellular Data Suite window, and then download the revised data to your Nokia 61xx, Nokia 51xx or compatible. You can also backup and restore your entire phone settings, and manage your phone profiles too. A ringtone and graphics editors are even included as exciting extra features to enhance personalisation of your phone.
Plug in a complete solution: The Nokia Cellular Data Suite is a complete connectivity solution for mobile offices. It includes an RS-232C serial cable, installation software and a software modem for Windows 95, 98, NT4 or 2000. Using the setup software, it is easy to install the Nokia Cellular Data Suite in any portable PC running these operating systems. The Nokia Cellular Data Suite is compatible with a wide range of PC fax and e-mail applications.
Space for more connections: The Nokia Cellular Data Suite lets you communicate via the serial port, leaving the PCMCIA slot free for a network card, a CD-ROM drive, a printer, or other peripherials. If your laptop or PC has a built in infra-red port and you are using a 6110, nk702 or 6150 you can even connect the two wirelessly.
High-speed, high-accuracy:
Possible errors in data transmission are automatically corrected by the
network, not by the computer, with an error rate of only 1 byte per million.
This provides faster throughput times because it eliminates the need for
retransmission. For the highest-speed data transmission, the Nokia Cellular
Data Suite is V.42bis ready. For error-free fax transmission, it supports
Fax-ECM (Error Correction Mode). Users of the 6150e on Orange only will
also benefit from 50% quicker data transmission when the network supports
high speed date in early 2000.
