This entitles you to three magazines a year, containing many rare and exciting thimbles to buy, plus in-depth articles, restoring tips, identification, cataloguing advice and a list of local THIMBLE SOCIETY groups in your area with whom you can enjoy your shared interests.

You will be sent a membership card to sign, which will enable you to gain free entry into most Antique Fairs. This saving alone should cover your subscription cost.

Members benefit from a discount on all purchases from our shop, and are given the first offer on any rare thimbles. Many of our most sought-after items are transferred from one collection to another without being offered to the general public.

There is guidance on hand so that you can form a collection that is a unique demonstration of your interests, your personality and within your price range. We have thimbles from £5 to £50, to £500, to £5000. We believe that collecting should be fun, but it is very important to know which items will form a sound investment and which a pretty souvenir.

The THIMBLE SOCIETY can put you in touch with thimble groups worldwide and with branches in your local area where you can enjoy thimbles, tea, and a chat. There you will meet thimble and sewing friends from all over the world.

The THIMBLE SOCIETY caters for collectors of most sewing tools, including tape measures, lace bobbins, pin-cushions, chatelaines, sewing boxes, samplers and many other small precious collectables. Our Society was formed in 1981 as a family firm, founded on a shared passion for sewing-related objects. We have since then grown out of all expectation thanks to the help and encouragement of the members, so do join us by filling in the form below.
