How long has it taken you to visit all 92
grounds?
19 years in total, but most since 1994.
Best Ground visited (& why).
Highbury. Great atmosphere and a ground that
isn't boringly symmetrical.
Poorest Ground Visited:
The Dell. The away supporters section is terrible (it's probably better for home supporters!).
Best experience on your travels:
Seeing York City beat Manchester Utd 3-0 at
Old Trafford. Paul Barnes (who comes from the same village as me) scored two goals.
Worst experience on your travels:
Driving into the back of a lorry on the way back from Layer Road, Colchester.
Funniest experience on your travels:
Tranmere refusing to sell me a roll and onions without a burger (I am vegetarian).
Most Goals Seen In One Match:
Eight, Tottenham 5 Southampton 3.
Best Match Witnessed:
Shrewsbury 2 Northampton 3, when Northampton needed to win to stay in the Football League and came back from 2-0 down.
Best Goal Seen:
Stan Collymore on his debut for Liverpool against Sheffield Wednesday.
Best Player Watched:
Alan Shearer scoring a hat-trick for Blackburn Rovers against Nottingham Forest.
Stupidest Chant Heard:
"You're supposed to pay the bill" by
Wimbledon fans when the floodlights went off at Pride Park, Derby.
Any tips for those intending to visit the
92?
Look for kick-offs at odd times (particularly on bank holidays) and try to get to two games in one day. This helps cut down on the travelling!
