The Munich Clock

The clock pictured above that is situated to one side of the South Stand, is part of the memorial to the victims of the Munich Air Disaster in 1958, in which the Club lost eight players, the club secretary, trainer and coach. Most fans visiting Old Trafford believe that the clock shows the actual time that the disaster took place. In fact it doesn't it just shows the normal time. However, the date of February 6th 1958 is recorded on it.
