Player Profiles

denotes player selected for the 2002 U16 England Squad
LHC
denotes player selected for the 2002 London & Home Counties Regional Squad

Nicky, Scrum-half, Captain     LHC
Mouthy scrum-half with a great spin pass and awesome tackling. Nicky is a strong, fast runner who throws the most outrageous dummy passes you've ever seen. An excellent all-round rugby player who has also played in every other back position this year.
Alana, Centre
Alana has been playing rugby since she was about 8 and so knows the game extremely well. Great strength, powerful running, hard tackling and lovely hands too.
Emily, Winger
One of the smallest members of the squad, she was instantly named "BFG". Great sidestep and when she gets hold of someone, she never lets go.
Becky, Back-row Forward
Nicknamed "Alvin" because of her cool chipmunk impression, Becky has recently been moved into the forwards and is developing into a very good blindside flanker. She has great power and good speed.
Tia, Fly-half        LHC
Another one who has been playing rugby from an early age, Tia has a great rugby brain, a devastating side-step and a good right foot. An excellent year, with a deserved call up to the England U16 squad.
Kate, Winger etc. etc.    LHC
The classic "all-rounder", Kate has played Prop, Hooker, Centre, Winger and Full-back this year - and excelled at them all. Deceptively fast, she is one of our top scorers and loves to tackle.
Claire, Winger / Fullback        LHC
New winger this year, with great cover tackling and awesome speed. Never stops worrying about her hair. Claire has had a great season and was selected for the England U16 squad (not bad, considering she only came to rugby to watch her sister !).
Chloe, Back    LHC
An excellent player, she has played in almost every back position this year. Chloe has scored a number of important tries this year, she also has great pace and is never one to shy away from contact.
Becca, Second Row    LHC
Becca has come on to her game extremely well this year and even though she's had her bumps and bruises (including a broken nose- thanks Nicky!), she still loves the game and gives everything. She makes some awesome tackles and great breaks.
Sally, Prop    LHC
One of the strangest "front five" forwards you'll ever meet, Sally likes to run in tries from 60 metres out. Excellent speed and a good tackler. Sally is also very bubbly and never stops giggling (I told you she was a strange forward).
Nicola, Second Row
Nicola is a natural second row and, at nearly 6ft, a real asset in lineouts. She played in her first Ladies game this year against Milton Keynes and impressed many people with her aggression and running.
Alicia, Back
Mouthy back and therefore a good scrum half. Alicia will tackle anyone, no matter their size. She is a fast runner with a good pass.
Hannah, Back-row Forward    LHC
A hooker at mini level, Hannah has become one of the main features of our back row this season. She's fast, hard and superb at rucking. She also has a voice like a foghorn !
Sarah, Flanker    LHC
Sarah is a rugby fanatic and an excellent little forward. She always manages to pick on the biggest players on the pitch - and usually comes out on top. She has a great rugby brain and has an amazing spin too.
Sian, Second Row / Centre    LHC
Sian is one of the quieter members of our squad (and to be honest there aren't many!). She is a second row who is converting to a centre with great hands and a killer side-step.
Natalie, Winger
Natalie joined the squad a week before our annual tour, but loved it so much, she decided to come with us ! Natalie is a forward turned winger and is a good tackler who never gives up.
Sheren, Forward    LHC
One of the oldest members of the squad, Sheren's a traditional forward i.e. strong, good hands and (thanks to her dad !) knows how to cheat superbly.
Alex, Second Row    LHC
Sheren's partner in crime, Alex is a fellow forward who is an absolute nutcase. She makes some "crunching" tackles and is a very strong and direct runner (i.e. why bother going round when you can go through !).
  Liz, Forward
Liz is also one of the newer members of our squad but has settled in very well. She's quite quiet but plays the game with a lot of determination. She is very good at getting around the pitch and has good hands too.
  Andy, Back Row Forward
Andy is a player who has really improved since she first joined us this season. She is very lively and enthusiastic and isn't afraid to get stuck in.
  Charlie, Winger
Our newest squad member "Sharpey" is picking up the game at junior level very well. Another player to play in the minis, she is fast and elusive.
  Rhiannon, Front Row
Despite some initial reservations, Rhiannon has taken to the game very well. She is very enthusiastic and loves playing rugby. She has great hands and always tries her best.
  Claire, Front Row    LHC
Claire is a big strong forward who loves contact. She also has an obsession with her fluorescent green hat, wearing it no matter what the weather's like! She's good in rucks and makes some very big tackles.
  Lisa, Winger
The youngest player in our squad, "Spider" makes up for it with her big mouth ! Good hands and great speed too.
Diane, Club Treasurer
Diane can talk the hind legs off a donkey and is one of the most tireless workers you'll ever see. As our treasurer, Diane keeps telling us that we haven't got the money we keep spending. She is a lifelong Leicester Tigers fan but she also likes rugby !
Lorna, Club Secretary
Lorna is the driving force behind the club and gives us an excellent admin service. She says she does all the work (apparently the coaches only hold tackle shields). She's the one who keeps spending all the money Diane says we don't have.
   Craig, Paul and Richard, Coaches
As they get the c**p beaten out of them week after week at training, they deserve some fame. A very good coaching team who consistently turn out strong teams. They also deserve some sympathy for the constant mickey-taking they get from the girls.
