The Welsh School of Excellence for Conductive Education

The Founders

Colin & Donna Mock with their children Alexander & Amanda

It started in 1988 for us as a family with a desire to find help for our two children who suffered from a rare form of cerebral palsy called Dysequilibrium Syndrome.

As a family we could write a book on the subject but in simplistic terms we started with two disabled children totally dependent, we now have two children totally independent.

This for us was due to the method of Conductive teaching which we followed for six long years nearly five of those in Hungary.

We did two things at the time:

First we wrote a dedication to remind us of the event.

Secondly we opened a school dedicated to the method of Conductive Education, a school which we intended to bring into the twenty first century by blending Conductive Education and the National Curriculum together with out loosing the best of either.

Below we acknowledge the staff from Hungary and the UK which without their their commitment and dedication this project "The School" would have never been possible or such a success.

We all believe it is the best school for children who suffer from cerebral palsy and related motor disorder and any teacher who applies for a position with us has the knowledge that they have to live up to our reputation which means they have to be the best.
