Stanley
Safari Lodge Stanley Safari Lodge is the luxurious oasis for the new explorers of the Victoria Falls. With only 7 private cottages it is able to give you an unmatched level of entirely personalised service. Bordering the Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park, with a direct view over the spray of the Victoria Falls, the exclusive Stanley Safari Lodge will take you back to the Africa of the 1920's…
Immaculate linen, mahogany furniture and beautiful tableware will complete the picture… One can easily imagine Stanley or Livingstone themselves just leaving the place… The main house provides the setting for our French style cuisine; alternatively dine under the stars on the lawn or in the privacy of your own cottage, whilst enjoying the personal service of our Zambian staff, all with an in-depth knowledge of Livingstone and its environs. Spend your days enjoying the Victoria Falls area, or by the pool, spotting elephants at the nearby watering hole. Evenings can be spent sampling wine from our cellars or unwinding by the hearth, with the matchless African skies providing an unforgettable backdrop.
Each of our 7 luxury cottages is individually designed and decorated with local materials. Accommodation ranges from double suites, to the honeymoon cottage - with both its own fireplace and plunge pool. All our cottages have their own private garden and dining area. The open-sided design affords a unique view across the Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park to the mighty Zambezi River and the Victoria Falls - one of the Seven Natural Wonders Of The World.
Parks around the Falls: Around the Victoria Falls are some fine National Parks such as Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park (white rhino) and Chobe National Park (Botswana) which can all be visited without checking out of Stanley Safari Lodge. Chobe NP is home to the world's largest elephant population, which represents a third of all African elephants and is ideal to visit both by 4x4 vehicle as by boat.
Besides game drives with comfortable Land-Rover vehicles and experienced Bush Guides in the National Parks close to the Victoria Falls, we also organise canoe safaris or fishing trips on the Zambezi River. A lunch cruise or a sunset cruise is a more relaxing way to enjoy the beauty of the mighty Zambezi River. Elephant Back Safari: Only very few places in the world offer you the possibility to ride on the back of an African elephant. This is an original way to discover the nature around the Victoria Falls and offers a unique way to interact with the largest mammals on earth.
African culture: We are also eager to show you our neighbouring traditional village which is over 800 years old and still ruled by its traditional ruler, His Royal Highness Chief Mukuni, Monarch of the Victoria Falls. The Livingstone museum and the lively Maramba market is also worth a visit. Flight of the Angels: Experience the Victoria Falls from the air with a microlight or helicopter (private heli-pad)! It is also possible to play Golf, whilst enjoying a beautiful view over the Zambezi Adrenaline
Activities: For the more adventurous, the gorges below the Victoria Falls offer a wide range of possibilities. Just to name a few: - The Zambezi offers some of the best Rafting in the world. - Bungee jumping from the railway bridge has a unique setting just besides the Falls - Jet boating in the gorges is breathtaking Other National Parks: Stanley Safari Lodge has excellent air & road connections and is an excellent starting point for your Safari in Southern Africa (Zambia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia). We offer also Safaris to the remote South Luangwa National Park and we can arrange your trip to other destinations in Zambia (Luangwa, Lower Zambezi), Botswana's Okavango Delta or Namibia. Price
