RWANDA GORILLA EXPRESS

Small Group Departure with a minimum of 2 people
(Including Return Flights from Nairobi)

Departs Daily from Nairobi.

Children under 15 years or visitors with colds or flu are not permitted on the Gorilla trek. The park warden has the final authority on who can trek. Reasonable fitness levels essential for the trek.

Day 1 - Friday Arrive with Alliance Air at Kigali. Meet and Greet by a Safari Africa representative. Transfer to Hotel Gorillas.
Overnight at Hotel Gorillas (BB)

Day 2 - Saturday 06h00 departure to Ruhengeri, driving through beautiful countyside. Arrive at the park gates at 08h00 and briefing by park guides on Gorilla etiquette. Enter the Volcanos National Park for the Gorilla trek. The trek may last from 2 to 5 hours, depending on the movement of the gorillas. There are four habituated families in the mountains, all situated at different heights. The authorities permit only one hour of gorilla viewing. Descend to Kinigi Lodge for lunch and in the afternoon visit the serene lakes of Bulera and Ruhondo.
Overnight at Kinigi Lodge (LDBB)

Day 3 - Sunday After breakfast optional 2nd Gorilla trek or optional trek to Bisoke Volcano, the Diane Fossey grave and Lake Njezi. Late lunch at Nuhabura Hotel and return to Kigali.
Overnight at Hotel Gorillas (L-BB)

Day 4 - Monday After breakfast transfer to airport for flight to Nairobi.
