Chauve Souris

On one of the Seychelles' granite islets, only five minutes by boat from Praslin, this intimate island hotel is a wonderful place to be a castaway. Home to some of the best snorkelling in the Seychelles, Chauve Souris is surrounded by the clear blue waters of the Indian Ocean.

A large, handsome house made of stone with a palm leaf roof is nestled amongst the rocks here. Five luxury rooms, each one different from the others, provide the guest accommodation. Three are in the central area and two in separate buildings. In the main building there is:-

"Admiral"
which has a naval theme and a verandah with a lovely view over nearby
Saint Pierre Island, "Creole" and "Plantation", both in typical island style.

"Pirate"
is large and airy and has its own jacuzzi with the sea just below.

"Shipwreck Survivor"
is built on the rocks and is the ideal setting for romance - it even
has an open-air jacuzzi nestled in a grove of trees!

The cuisine at Chauve Souris is a blend of Creole and international with generous concessions to Italian taste. Delicious afternoon tea with yummy cakes is served every day. There are many activities on offer. A motor boat takes guests for trips and snorkelling.

For sports lovers, the Nautical Centre and Diving Centre of the Cote d'Or Club are available to guests and a shuttle service is provided free of charge.
