12 DAY EXCLUSIVE KENYA SAFARI

This is a unique private safari run for a small group of 4-8 people, the accommodation is in a selection of luxury tented camps & lodges all booked on an EXCLUSIVE basis for your group.

Furthermore there are several private game sanctuaries within the itinerary for your sole enjoyment. A professional guide is at your disposal and will escort you throughout the safari. The safari starts with a flight to either Sarara Camp or Il Ngwesi in the arid North where time is spent walking and relaxing in their private reserves.

Fly across Laikipia to The Farm on Ol Ari Nyiro Ranch, where the scenery changes to bush land and savannah, spend time here exploring the land on foot or by vehicle. Descend into the Rift Valley and Lake Naivasha, Lentolia House is situated on the lakeshore with it's own private jetty. This location and relaxing environment is ideal for bird watching, fishing or boating.

The final destination is the Masai Mara where you will stay in a private tented camp in the less visited Northern area of the reserve. The days here are spent game driving exploring the gorges, swamps and plains of this prolific wildlife reserve before flying back to Nairobi on the last day.

Day 1 Arrive Nairobi, met and transferred to Macushla House. Rest of the day at leisure. Macushla House is a beautifully decorated home with 4 guest rooms and a swimming pool. It's located in Nairobi's Langata suburb so it is quiet and peaceful and a great escape from the hustle and bustle of downtown. It is within walking distance of the Giraffe Centre and close to Karen Blixen museum, several artisan workshops and the Utamaduni Craft Centre.

Day 2 This morning transfer to Wilson Airport for your charter flight to the Northern Frontier district and Sarara Camp. The duration of the flight is approximately 2 hours. Lunch will be at the Camp and there will be an afternoon bush walk. Sarara Camp is nestled amongst the remote Matthews Mountains north of the Samburu & Shaba Reserves. The luxury camp has a swimming pool and accommodates up to 10 people, it is located in the Namunyak Wildlife Conservancy offering total privacy and seclusion. Activities at the camp are focused around the wonderful bush walking opportunities with the experienced local field scouts as guides.

Day 3 A full day in Namunyak to explore the area on foot. Rich in wildlife with densities as high as anywhere in Africa. Conservation efforts are focused on the endangered species. The core of the conservation programme continues to be the black rhinos. Overnight Sarara Camp

Day 4 This morning fly to Ol Ari Nyiro ranch located on the Laikipia plateau. Transfer to your accommodation at Centre House upon arrival. The Centre Farm House, located on Ol Ari Nyiro, Kuki Gallman's 100,000 acre private ranch. Ol Ari Nyiro is renowned for it's variety of landscapes, from open savannah to steep gorges and has a resident population of hundreds of elephant and is a Black Rhino sanctuary. Most wildlife including lion, leopard and cheetah live on the ranch. Impala come almost to the doorstep and zebra, waterbuck and elephant visit nightly. The Farm House is booked on an exclusive basis and consists of two double rooms with en-suite bathrooms, sitting room and dining room. Overnight at Ol Ari Nyiro

Days 5 & 6 Two full days on the ranch available for game driving and game walks. Overnights at Ol Ari Nyiro

Day 7 This morning drive south to Gilgil and onto Lake Naivasha. Lentolia House is located on the shores of Lake Naivasha, accessible by a private jetty. The lovely house can accommodate up to 12 people and has beautiful gardens with a wealth of bird life. The location is very relaxing and activities include bird watching, fishing and boating on the lake. Overnight Lentolia House

Day 8 A free day at the lake for fishing and boating or relaxing in the gardens. Overnight Lentolia House

Day 9 Set off for the Masai Mara today arriving mid afternoon and game driving to your camp. Acacia Valley Camp is a classic luxury bush camp set in a secluded location in the Koiyaki region of the Masai Mara. The camp, which has no permanent structures, is booked on an exclusive basis and accommodates up to 10 people. It provides an ideal base for game driving around the diverse terrain of the Mara.

Days 10 & 11 There are two full days available to explore this incredible area and witness the interaction of wildlife on the plains. Each day usually commences with an early morning game drive, return to camp for a late breakfast. The next 4-5 hours are at leisure to relax around camp. The afternoon game drive usually starts around 3pm until sundown. Options include a visit to a local Masai manyatta (village) with a lecture on the lifestyle of these famous pastoralists. Ballooning is another fabulous option available; balloons lift off in the early morning and glide silently above the plains before touching down in a remote spot for a classic open-air champagne breakfast hosted in style.

Day 12 Following your final game drive and breakfast transfer to the airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi. Transfer to a hotel in Nairobi where you will have a day room at your disposal. Evening airport transfer for your flight home.
