Some news from the BBC :
Corrs Start Work On Album No.3
The Corrs are about to go into the studio to start work on their third album. The band,
who've had their biggest hits to date from Talk on Corners with So
Young and What Can I Do, are already penning the follow up record.
Jim Corr says hopefully this one won't be so tough: "We felt that about the first
album - theres a lot of pressure involved. We were very nervous, obviously, about
the second album, because wed had a lot of success with the first one and we
certainly wanted to repeat that and gain upon it, which we did tremendously on Talk
On Corners. So were not TOO worried about it". And he says the band learn
a lot from the interaction with the audience: "We just want to go in and make the
best possible album that we can. Its a wonderful learning process for us and I
think its evolving along very nicely".

I have just received this press release -
THE CORRS - HEADLINE CITY IN THE PARK 1999.
It was somewhat of a challenge to compete with the success of the Saw Doctor s at last years City In The Park. However, Daybrook House Promotions are proud to present The Corrs live at Wollaton Park, Nottingham on Sunday 30th May 1999.
With their unique blend of contemporary and traditional Irish musics, The Corrs have established themselves as true originals. On their long-awaited new TALK ON CORNERS Album, the Dundalk, Ireland group, Jim (keyboards/guitar/vocal), Andrea (lead vocals/ tin whistle), Caroline (drums/ bodhran/ vocals) and Sharon (violin/ vocals) create a sound steeped in the tradition of their homeland, but invested with a vibrant and electric modern pop flavour.TALK ON CORNERS has just been awarded its fifth UK platinum disc as it has surpassed 1.5m sales. This makes this the biggest seller in Britain this year, beating off competition from the likes of Robbie Williams, George Michael and U2.
The Corrs have also recently embarked on one of the biggest tours seen in the UK this year, with the initial set of 27 dates completely Sold Out.
City in The Park will however be the Corrs first headline outdoor event, following in the footsteps of Pulp at Finsbury Park and Oasis at Knebworth.
This concert will also further extend the variety of musical entertainment provided by Daybrook House Promotions. Which is perhaps better known for its 19 years of success with Rock City in Nottingham, establishing itself as a regular fixture to the East Midlands programme as well as offering a rival to the regular summer fixtures such as Reading, Phoenix and Fleadh festivals.
Tickets can be purchased through leading ticket agencies or by credit card on (0115) 9588484.
EDITORS NOTES THE CORRS @ CITY IN THE PARK, WOLLATON PARK, NOTTINGHAM.
SUNDAY 30TH MAY 1998 (BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND). GATES OPEN AT 12 NOON.

The recent Corrs concerts have had a slightly different line up to the previous concerts on the Talk On Corners tour. Jim now has a solo piece on the piano with a bit at the end where he deliberately makes mistakes (similar to Les Dawson). Caroline leaves the drums for Runaway and plays the piano instead. Caroline and Sharon sing a duet, No Frontiers by Mary Black. What Can I Do is the remixed version. In previous concerts the Corrs have sung 1999 by Prince but they seem to have left it out in recent concerts, I think this is to coincide with the artist formally known as Prince re-releasing 1999 next year.
