Additionally, you will need to send the following:-

• two small colour photographs ( please smile! )
• a letter telling us about yourself
• a medical certificate to state you are fit to work as an au pair
• Copy of driving licence (if applicable)
• Photo I.D. or copy of passport page
• two references preferably from people for whom you have worked

What happens next

As soon as we receive all your details, we will begin looking for a suitable family for you. When a family is interested, they will telephone you for a short chat. Then we will send their registration form to you and they will telephone again for a longer talk, so be sure to have some questions ready!

If both of you are happy to proceed, then the family will write you a letter of invitation and send you some family photographs. If you do not think the family is suitable, please tell us immediately, so that we can look for another family for you.

This letter of invitation is important as you may have to show it on entry to the UK to prove that you staying in the UK as an au pair and that you will not stay longer than two years. Please telephone the family when you receive their letter to arrange when you should travel.

IMPORTANT :- THE OFFER IS NOT A DEFINITE OFFER UNTIL THE FAMILY WRITES THE LETTER OF INVITATION SO DO NOT BOOK A FLIGHT UNTIL YOU HAVE RECEIVED IT AND HAVE DISCUSSED ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE DATES WITH THE FAMILY.

It is best to fly to LONDON (HEATHROW) OR LONDON (GATWICK) where you will be met by the family. We will phone you a few days later to arrange a meeting.
