Some facts about Quarry Brae

There are  367 pupils in the Primary and 50 children in our Nursery Class.

There are three Senior Teachers - Ms Aunice Murray, Ms Gillian Montgomery and Mrs. Linda Gibson. There are 15 teachers and Mrs. Libby Martin, Senior Teacher in the Nursery Class as well as two nursery nurses.

A clerkess, two auxiliaries, four classroom assistants, a welfare attendant, school meals staff, cleaners and last but not least the Janitor make up our team.

Supporting Quarry Brae

Our Parents help in some school/ class activities and educational outings. We could not run our extensive programme without them! They give invaluable help with the curriculum and support school shows, school sports, fundraising very well.

The school is situated in an area of traditional council and private housing about two miles east of the City Centre and five minutes walk from Tollcross Park with its grassy acres, international rose trial beds, Leisure Centre with its Olympic sized swimming pool (where P4 - P7 swim every week) and newly restored glasshouse.

Our aim is to provide the pupils with the most effective curriculum to prepare them for the job market and for life; to have a visually attractive, motivating work environment in school; to develop talent, to cultivate a sense of personal worth and of pride in the local community.
