The
school is in the Parkhead area of the City of
Glasgow in Scotland! We hope
you will get to know us through our Home Page. The school was built in
1903 and has been serving the boys and girls of the East End of Glasgow
since then. The building is a three storey red sandstone one with the
galleried central hall well lit by
light from a large glass roof. When the school was opened Glasgow was the
second city of the British Empire with Parkhead at its industrial heart
and Charles Rennie Mackintosh was a practising architect in Glasgow. Times
change, the East End is regenerating, the site of Beardmore's Forge is
a successful shopping mall and Charles
Rennie Mackintosh is now renowned world
wide.
