2 girl/2 boy band from the UK doing the TALLULAH GOSH/FLATMATES thing but with more guitar feedback and psychedelic tendencies. Personally, I think the combo of sickly sweet singing and the cacophonous somewhat tweaked guitar sound (intentional or accidental, one has to wonder) makes for a pretty cool outing. Sorta if the fuzzpop set got BILLY CHILDISH as a producer and had some er... NEIL like ramblings thrown in. Very cool.
Consisting of 4 tracks, namely Loadstar II, Zwiebak motel, Hulloe and gwdbie, and Jobclub. An impressive indie pop/rock offering from the five piece outfit. High octane indeedie!
Kooky Monster's final recording, "Ordinary love song" is now available on the Fortuna Pop! Recordings 7" EP,"Coffee Coffee" along with tracks by International Strike Force, Taking pictures, and Airport girl. It's distributed by Shellshock or is available mail order for L2 (inc. p&p) from 4 Well Yard Close, Shepshed, Loughborough, Leics. LE12 9TG (Cheques payable to Sean Price). Kooky Monster's track is described in the press release as "Out of tune drumming, retro kecks, and another song about songs about girls".
