Indicative costs of membership 2005-6

To help prospective new members understand the financial cost of Rotary in their first year,

 we have set the following description.

Affiliation (or joining) Fee

This is non recurring and payable to RIBI for every new member £25.00

Annual Subscription

• This covers the budgeted costs of running the club such as printing, stationery, postage, meeting room expenses, Christmas Lunch hospitality, visitors and sundries.
•  Rotary District Expenses, District Conference and District Magazine (ROTO)
• RIBI Capitation charge for running our national organization from Alcester, Warwickshire.

    The full 2005-2006 subscription per member is £ 68.00

              (In the first year, this will be reduced to cover the remaining part of the year to June)

Charitable Levy   

This is payable to Rotary District to cover an Annual Youth Camp, the costs of a Youth Exchange Visit, the Costs related to an Exchange of Mature Students from abroad, (Group Study Exchange), and also includes £25.00 per member payable to Rotary Foundation, USA.

(This payment can be paid under a Gift Aid Declaration via The Walsall Rotary Club Charitable Trust and a pledged sum of £21.00 paid every year in this way, will produce £26.92 after the related refund of tax).

Weekly Meal Costs

Currently £10.00 per week at The Quality Hotel, Birmingham Road, Walsall for lunch and may be slightly more for special events.

Other Costs

These can include periodic raffles to raise funds for the Club, support of Social and Fund Raising events, Ladies’ Night, occasional Fellowship Visits to other Clubs, attendance at District meetings and District Conference etc.

This cost is likely to vary dependent upon your own level of support for overall activities.
