I listen to the Black Dyke Band because...

In our most recent competition you were asked to complete the above phrase. We are pleased to announce, after long and thoughtful consideration by our panel of judges, that Mr. Kari Olsen of Torshavn in the Faroe Islands has won with the following entry: I listen to the Black Dyke Band because the Black Dyke Band is the best of brass, they're number one in their class! Congratulations Kari, a copy of "A Muse of Fire" will be winging its way to you shortly.

Apologies

We apoligise for the lack of promotional news/articles on concerts and events over September and Early October. This was due to unavoidable circumstances and we hope that this will be a rare occurance. Don't forget, basic information such as Date, Location and Contact Number can always be found on our Events pages.

'News Room' Archives

Their have been quite a few changes to the 'News Room' pages over the past few months and we are now on Issue 7. Some visitors may not have had chance to read previous issues so we have set up an archive list below which will enable visitors to catch up on any news they may have missed. Although the contents of these pages will be intact, some of the links may be out of date and we apologise for this. The effort involved in ensuring that links are current is considerable and this time is better spent on maintaining the more up to date areas of the site. The archive list begins from issue 6, if you require information from earlier articles then please let us know and we will see what we can do.
