Chimaeron Ltd was incorporated in July 1994 and has occupied its current administrative space at Old Sarum, Salisbury, UK, since October of that year. Chimaeron was intentionally formed and structured to offer services in three essential areas:
Management and Business Administration
In order to fulfil these roles, the small permanent staff of Chimaeron has been augmented with both General and Specialist Consultants to develop both the commercial business of Chimaeron itself as well as the business of other organisations with which Chimaeron has commercial contracts.
Chimaeron Ltd undertakes a role to provide business, secretarial, administrative and accountancy services under appropriate terms and conditions for a number of groups and companies including:
Registered health-care clinics and practitioners
In order to achieve this, Chimaeron is fully equipped with modern office equipment including Pentium computers, peripherals, laser scanners, E-mail, Internet access, photocopying, printing, binding, telefax as well as a highly proficient staff. Chimaeron also offers marketing support for company promotion, budget planning and organising of conferences and expeditions, advertising and the production of advertising material including brochures.
Chimaeron Ltd provides a highly qualified consultancy capability within a wide range of scientific and technical disciplines. Such consulting is provided under appropriate terms and conditions dependent on the nature of the task. Chimaeron's areas of expertise include:

Chimaeron Ltd has advised, either directly or through its consultants, a number of individuals, groups and companies in respect of commercial science and technology, business expansion and development or finance raising. These include:
Consultants of Chimaeron also designed and developed Research and Development programmes for public sector funding bodies and industry in the biological sciences.
Chimaeron is also exploring the commercial application and development of aspects of Government technology.
Chimaeron Ltd and its staff and consultants have also organised and lead/participated in a major UK scientific expedition to microbiologically survey the Extremophilic areas of the Lesser Antilles. The expedition was funded by a UK Government organisation and took place in March 1996 (BMBA jump site here).
Chimaeron Ltd undertakes and manages Research, Development and Production projects which can be either near market or at the early stage of product development. All such projects are tightly costed to defined project milestones and are closely managed. Chimaeron undertakes Research, Development and Production projects for its own business, employing its own resources and finance, or available public sector funding. Chimaeron also readily undertakes contract Research, Development and Production for other organisations under negotiable terms and conditions, dependent on the nature of the project.
In Research, Development and Production projects, Chimaeron usually employs and uses the facilities of either specific University laboratories or those of other organisations, choosing such facilities and expertise carefully, in order to maximise all the parameters of the intended project. Through its consultants, Chimaeron is uniquely placed to be aware of all Research, Development and Production facilities in the fields of biotechnology, (bio)pharmaceuticals, (bio)engineering, petrochemicals, nanotechnology and analytical science.
Chimaeron Ltd is also rapidly developing its own scientific and technical remit and patent portfolio, particularly in novel areas of nano-(submicron) technology, an area of development which will impact on all Chimaeron's other major scientific and technical disciplines and fields.
