Dear John,
Well, here’s my dissertation on Sir Thomas Trivet(t) 1330 – 1388 (finally!). Sorry for the delay but I had a bit of trouble trying to gain access to my email address.
Please be aware that I wrote this dissertation with the assumption that the reader is familiar with Richard 2nd’s era. If you want background information on anything then please don’t hesitate to ask. Alternatively, if you want a bit of ‘light’ reading on the period yourself, then I recommend Professor Saul’s autobiography on "Richard 2nd" (see the bibliography at the back of my dissertation). Don’t be put off by the size of Saul’s book – it’s very easy to read.
My compiled copy of Trivet’s family tree is in the Appendix.
It’s a lot more basic than yours – but then again I was only focussing on one Trivet in particular.
No doubt you’ll have lots of questions/queries when you end this dissertation!
