Nuclear Fission

1.1b

This game is not finished yet but I have a working beta version so feel free to try/criticise it. Here's 1.1b, I am planning to add pictorial graphics, AI and possibly animation, but I may switch to c++ for that, either way I will put a link on this page.

How to play

At the moment this game is two player only, AI is yet to come. The players take it in turn, red first, to add an atom to any square. Squares can contain several atoms but you cannot add an atom to a square already containing one or more of your opponents atoms. The square gets brighter as more atoms are added. Each square has a certain 'critical mass', this is equal to the number of squares adjacent to that square, ie. 2 in the corners, 3 on the sides and 4 in the middle. If a square ever contains it's critical mass or more atoms it explodes, this causes the atoms in the square to scatter to adjacent squares, one in each, and causes the adjacent squares to become the colour of the square that exploded. The surrounding squares may now have enough atoms in to explode, in which case they do so, causing a chain reaction. The idea of the game is to leave only your own atoms on the board, when this happens the game will pause, to allow you to revel in glory (or something like that), click on the game to reset it and play again, loser starts.
