Honey Spice Cake

Sandwich Tin 12 inch by 8 inch

• 6 oz plain flour
• 2 level teasp mixed spice
• 3 level teasp baking powder
• 6 oz clear honey
• 4 oz softened margarine
• 1 large egg
• 3 tblsp milk
• 3 oz cleaned sultanas
• 1 oz sifted icing sugar

Sieve flour, spice and baking powder into bowl. Add honey, marg, beaten egg, milk and sultanas and beat till smooth with wooden spoon.

Turn mixture into greased tin and spread to sides.

Bake in centre of mod oven, 350deg for 25-30 mins. Leave in tin to cool. Cut into 16 pieces and spread with icing sugar.
