Andy Anderson's Games

I play games. Board, card and table games, that is. Since I work with a computer most of most days, I can get paid for letting it beat me. There's little incentive to play Myst or Fist of Fury, although I occasionally indulge in a Hana-Fuda variant called Min-Ha-To, one of the neatest low-tech shareware things I've come across.

However, "Settlers of Catan", which is my current favourite, is derived from a computer game. I simply get more enjoyment out of interaction with a human opponent. (Most of the time, anyway). There are currently a few games described: again, I'll post some more when I get round to it.

I also design games and boards. I found the rules for Tablero de Jesus on the web. I've designed a special board, and I'd like to repay the enjoyment I've had by making my version of the rules and the board available. My wife is learning HTML by setting the pages to describe my "Doubling Dragon" card game, so that should get posted in the next few months.

I've been interested in Hana-Fuda card games since I was at university. As well as Japan, various other countries use the cards and I've researched some of the non-Japanese variants.
