Wessex Medical Trust, this year celebrating 21 years of funding vital medical research, is aiming to make 1988 a very special funcrasing year. With a small team of runners already in training for the 1998 Flora London Marathon, the Trust is seeking more team members to join their happy band. Anyone who has managed to secure a place in the Marathon, and who has not yet thought of running for charity, could help to benefit people thorughout the Wessex region by running for the trust. Terry Osborn, Trust Director, said "Wessex Medical Trust is the only local, multi-disease charity which supports research into all major causes of ill health and disease in our community; diseases which have or will affect us all at some stage in our live, such as heart disease, breast cancer and asthma. We are delighted to have the opportunity to take part in this prestigious event and would love to hear from runners who want to join us. We would also welcome calls from potential sponsors - individual or corporate - who wish to become involved." |
