As well as being a major focus
for village life, the Leadenham Village Hall is the home of the Leadenham
Players. Lottery Commision funding was thus available, through the Arts
Council, to build a venue which can be used to stage high quality drama and
other arts presentations.
The floor was removed from the old village hall, reconditioned by
the original local contractors and carefully relaid to become a feature of the new
hall.
The stage and curtains are worthy of a modern
theatre...   ...and modern lighting replaces the trusty
catering bean tins which served the old hall so well.
The fine mosaic of endangered local species...
...took pride of place at the opening.
