THE FACTS ABOUT SLIMMING

Isn't everyone watching their weight? Just open any magazine and out pops the super-slim figure of the so-called modern woman. Top in the best seller lists are titles dedicated to improving a body's shape.
No wonder the book-shelves are buckling under the weight of piles of 'sure-fire' diet books, and chemists' shops' shelves groan under the pressure of slimming cures based on meal replacements, supplements, potions and even lotions to rub away unsightly bumps!
But with so much information available - much of it conflicting - what are we to believe?
Do not be dazzled by the variety of diet books to choose from - old diets never seem to die, they just change title. Although each book will vary slightly, you should be able to recognise the main point of each diet.

The more I researched the more I found that most of the diets have a common denominator - they all conclude that carbohydrates in general are the problem. But I've found if you change the grain you eat from exclusively wheat to a variety of grains - including Amaranth, Spelt, Kamut®, Brown Rice, Millet and Quinoa - and you rotate your food instead of eating the same old things every day, you get a diversity of nutrients and you won't develop food allergies, which can contribute to fatigue. I found that by changing the grains around this way people lost weight as well as feeling good. I also found that so many people had problems with milk, sugar and yeast. But because we are all individuals all our diets need to be especially tailor-made for each of us.
