The Impressed Image

Gallery 1 - 'Big Ones'

These are all prints that were too big to scan. Now I have a decent digital camera they can take a well earned airing for your delectation and general amusement. What camera I hear you ask? - up until recently the quality was pretty poor and the facilities pretty limited unless you paid a fortune. These are all taken with a Nikon Coolpix 950 on fine resolution in sunlight or lamplight. It has the facility to compensate for different illumination sources. Raw images are about 5Mb - 1600x1200 pixels, ie. you can only see 1/4 of a picture on a monitor at 800x600 desktop size! Compressed to 1Mb JPEG's they are still outstanding - quality, sharpness and colour balance is great. Buy one! You may notice some odd non-uniformity in colour - some of these are framed and taking pictures of prints behind glass is nigh on impossible without some reflections and erratic illumination. Sorry.
