Parbold Village Festival – 12th July 2008   + h | m

We hope you will put on your walking shoes and go strolling round the village to see the different attractions.  All Children’s Classes, Flowers, Fruit & Veg, Domestic & Handicrafts Classes will be displayed in Parbold Village Hall.  All Adult Art & Photography Classes will be on display in the WI.  There will be no parking at the Village Hall during the Festival as the car park will be full of stalls and games and Steve and his gang’s delicious BBQ.  Circus skills by Jon of Company of Fools and a small bouncy castle will be in the Village Hall play area.

Refreshments will be served at the Village Hall and WI and remember the children’s activities at the Library from 1pm – 4pm.  There will be Pottery Workshops in the Committee Room of the WI and Sand Art and Magicians in the Village Hall, plus other stalls and games.  The Fair Rides will be on the Car Park at the back of “The Railway”.  There will also be stalls and games running along the front of the Village Shops so there will be no parking there during the Festival.  Make your stroll even more fun by doing the Treasure Hunt which is being organised by Parbold Scouts – starting point – the Scout Table in front of the shops.

Frisky Jazz” will be performing at the Village Hall at 1.15pm and 3.15pm and at the WI at 2.15pm.  There will be Punch & Judy Shows at the Village Hall at 2pm and 2.45pm.   Mucky Mountains Morris, our newest attraction, will be performing near The Mill House Gallery (thanks to James Bartholomew) at 1.30pm and at the Village Shops at 3.00pm.

The presentation of the trophies at the Village Hall will start at 4.00pm and the Raffle Prize Draw will be at 4.30pm.

We need lots of cakes, help on the Friday night and on the day.  If you can bake for us or spare an hour of your time, please ring - Anne Pryer 462176, Tom Forster 462647 or Sandy Smith 463407.  Sue Halton still needs more things for the Festival Tombola – if you can donate some prizes, please ring Sue on 463703 to arrange collection.
