I sketched out these small booklets to give the KS3 pupils at Hemel Hempstead School a few suggestions as to how they should approach each topic. They are some times very specific to the resources that we have on the computer network.
My colleagues used these as a jump-off point for their own teaching. We keep more formal records of outcomes, expectations and assessments in a folder in the Department Office with a note on progress through each topic. My colleagues have developed specific worksheets, homework tasks and tests to suit each pupil group and these are shared.
I am acutely aware that none of us are IT ‘professionals’ and that these notes are merely a draft of a few useful, and many cumbersome, ideas. I scribbled them to get us through a period of long-term sickness and many ‘cover’ teachers; please do not think that they are a definitive exposition of the syllabus!
The front covers were taken from the clipart gallery in Word 95; I have left them out of this posting. Our wonderful Resources department reduce these A4 sheets into folded A5 booklets which we find fairly robust and convenient.
All suggestions and comments are welcome; at least any nice ones.
