The equivalent body for the accreditation of private sector face-to-face education in the UK is the British Accreditation Council. The two bodies work closely together, sharing accommodation, each represented on the Board of the other. |

The trade association for private sector distance learning in the UK is the Association of British Correspondence Colleges (ABCC); informal contact is maintained through individuals who serve on the Councils of both bodies. |

We have strong ties with the Open University. We are currently housed in Open University accommodation, and the OU is represented on the Board of ODL QC |

We are active members of the European Association for Distance Learning, the premier body for private sector distance learning in Europe. ODL QC Chief Executive, David Morley, is currently Vice President of EADL, and ODL QC co-hosted the 2010 Meeting of EADL in Cambridge in May, 2010. |

David Morley also serves as EADL representative on the Learnovation Stakeholders roundtable, an initiative to draw together various pan-european bodies with an interest in learning in general, and open and distance learning in particular. |
