SPIRITUAL LIFE
St. Joseph's is a Christian school in the Roman Catholic tradition. We are concerned to make prayer and worship real educational experiences and helpful to the growth of Faith in each person.

At St. Joseph's we hold acts of worship and prayer each day and we celebrate Holy Mass in the spirit of the Church's Liturgical Year. We encourage the pupils to take responsibility for the planning and delivery of morning service assemblies. Priests from our parishes are regular visitors to the school. Their counselling role is available to those who request support and guidance.

In academic terms, Religious Education is taught to all year groups throughout the school, having four periods per week in each of their five years at school. The school follows the syllabus as laid down by the Diocesan Council.

Retreats and other spiritual services are organised for the pupils throughout the year in the hope that our young people experience a quality in their relationships with others and a sense of service that carries through to their lives afterwards
